THURSDAY 7/10 marked the opening reception for ATOMIC HONEYMOON, an art exhibition curated by GRIN.  Accompanying the new artwork currently on display at Aurora for the month of July, there were some fantastic performances on Thursday by Cat Bath Aftermath, ISLANDS, and Laurie Amat.  Cat Bath Aftermath shimmied and shook to a an exotica rhythm, wearing masks of astro-turf.  ISLANDS, Jason Curzake and Shey Riv, hauntingly and solemnly washed dishes while Laurie sang in a varietal of pitch and tone making the audience feel lost in a dream looped over and over again.  Members from the audience were selected to pose in awkward family portraits- stay tuned for these photos by Chris Anderson.

FRIDAY 7/11  RHD-RI’s COMICONCERT went up, up and away!  Fantastic superhero art sold rapidly while high-energy bands played to benefit this local non-profit.
